.... Samuel Choisy (b. 1974, France) is a photo-based visual artist. He received his DNAP from l'École de l'Image d'Angoulême (1999) and a DNSEP from l'École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes (2001). His work has been showcased in France and many European countries, US and Canada. He currently lives and works in Toronto.

.... Choisy's photo-based practice investigates the notion of mental territory. With a constant reworking of his photo journals, he then creates modular fictions shown in books, projection concerts, videos and exhibitions. His latest photographs combine dance, performance and theater. Choisy questions and challenges his medium on every project by exploring various technical and formal approaches.
