In 2008, Stephen graduated with a BFA in Drawing & Painting from OCADU in Toronto, concluding his final year writing a thesis while residing in Florence, Italy.

Following studies, Stephen has demonstrated a motive to travel while experimenting in a diversity of new media, spending six months in British Columbia developing environment based installations in 2009 and three months in Europe practicing site-based painting and photography in 2010. Currently, residing in Hamilton, Stephen has been constructing a large collection of new abstract and representational works and contributing to various visual arts marketing publications.
